Happier from the Inside Out
Happier from the Inside Out!
A 9-week Positive Psychology program in Arlington, MA
This 9-week group coaching program is based on the book Happy for No Reason, by Marci Shimoff, and other resources and research-based practices from Positive Psychology, the science of happiness and well-being, that can boost our optimism, resilience and well-being amid life’s inevitable ups and downs. The next 9-week program begins in October 2016 and takes place on Tuesday evenings from 7-9pm in Arlington, MA. The investment is $395 and I enroll a maximum of six participants in the group. As a Certified Positive Psychology Coach, I’ll guide you through the practices and include an individual 30-minute phone coaching session during the course. Our weekly group meetings include discussion, experiential exercises and sharing of the homework. Note: this is not a therapy group, nor a program for those needing the help of a mental health professional. It may, however, complement such treatment. To see if it’s right for you, contact me. Meanwhile, here’s what former students say:
“When I started the group and took the happiness quiz I scored 58. On retaking it nine weeks later, my score had soared to an amazing 83! I intend to re-read Happy for No Reason and practice, practice, practice what I’ve learned in this course.” – J. Powell, artist and educator
“I am so glad that I’ve been able to take your class ‘Happier from the Inside Out.’ Each week I am getting happier, and I’ve also loved hearing and seeing the progress of the other students in the class. It’s been inspirational.” – Allison M.
“This class has been a wonderful way to learn new tools and get a chance to practice them. I’ve been recommending it to everyone and I really can’t thank you enough!” – Tish M.
“I love this class! I looked forward to going every week and practicing how to be a happier person. It’s a real help in finding positive solutions. My heart softened doing the exercises and I now have all these new tools to use. Kim is a master facilitator, and I’m very grateful.”
– P. Dery, RN, antique vendor
“Today while taking a walk I was feeling very negative, so I tried to turn that around with positive affirmations about myself, which sometimes works, but not this time. Then I remembered the class and started to list all the things that I’m grateful for, which included things that are working in my life. By the time I arrived at my destination, my whole attitude had changed and the upbeat feelings have continued through the day!” – Diane M.
